Features of the $8,000 Tax Credit*

  • To be eligible for this real estate tax credit as a first time home buyer you or your spouse cannot have owned a home in the past 3 years.

  • Maximum Real Estate Tax Credit is $8,000.

  • Individual taxpayers with incomes up to $75,000 and married couples with incomes up to $150,000 qualify for the full real estate tax credit.

  • This Real Estate Tax Credit can be used against 2009 income tax liability by adjusting your Federal Tax withholding.

  • Single Family Homes, Condos, Town Homes & Lofts all qualify for the first time home buyer tax credit.

  • Program expires November 30, 2009.
